Domingo

Tänään heräsimme kymmeneltä. Aamupalaksi oli Churroja (Jes!) ja kahvia. Churrot ovat uppopaistettuja leivonnaisia joita syödään yleensä sokerin/suklaan kanssa, me dippasimme ne sokeriin. Aamupalan jälkeen lähdimme kiertämään Madridia. Kävimme mm. isolla torilla joka sijaitsi Madridin keskellä. Torilla kävelyn jälkeen José piti meille pienen turisti kierroksen kaupungin keskustassa.

Kotiin palattuamme meitä odotti host-perheemme ystäväperhe, joka oli tullut kylään. He tekivät ruokaa ja me söimme yhdessä. Söimme Paellaa, muy bien! Ruuan jälkeen menimme uimaan ja ottamaan aurinkoa pihalle. 

Illemmalla lähdimme Rocion ja hänen (nyt myös meidän) kaverin kanssa läheiseen ostoskeskukseen syömään. Tulimme sen jälkeen kotiin ja nyt olemme menossa nukkumaan. Päivä on ollut kiva ja rento, huomenna alkaa kielikurssi. Se on kuitenkin hyvä, sillä espanjani on kaukana sujuvasta (toistaiseksi), huomaan kuitenkin ymmärtäväni koko ajan enemmän ja enemmän. Herätys on huomenna klo 7.00, joten paras mennä nukkumaan. ¡Buenas noches!

Rocio, Cristina y Thora

Today we woke up at ten o'clock. For breakfast we had Churros (Yeyy!) and coffee. Churros are deep fried pastries that one eats with chocolate/sugar, we ate them with sugar. After the breakfast we went for a little excursion in Madrid. First we went to a big market and then José gave us a tour in the very centre of the city. 

When we came home we had a friend family visiting us. They made food with our host family and we ate together. We ate Paella, muy bien! After dinner we went to the garden to swim and sunbathe. 

In the evening we went to eat with Rocio and her (now also our) friend to the nearby shopping centre. After that we came home and now we're going to go to sleep. The day has been nice and relaxing and tomorrow our language course starts. That's a good thing cause my Spanish is far from fluent (for now), though I have noticed that I understand more and more all the time. Tomorrow I have to wake up at 7.00 so I better hit the sack. ¡Buenas noches!
